What we do

English Language Teaching Centre (ELTC) is an agency under the Ministry of Education Malaysia. It was established on the 1st of June 2002 to undertake the specialist function of enhancing the teaching competencies of English language teachers. ELTC functions as a centre for innovation, research and development (R&D) in the teaching and learning of English. ELTC is also tasked with the responsibility of setting standards and providing certification for English language teaching (ELT) professionals in addition to developing expertise especially in the field of e-learning for ELT teacher education.

With great pride we would like to inform that ELTC has produced Digital Resources for Orang Asli Children (DROA), a set of materials to support the teaching and learning of English among preschool Orang Asli children. We are also honoured to announce that DROA has been nominated for the "UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifah Prize for the Use of ICT in Education". To know more, kindly click on the video:

Digital Resources for Orang Asli Preschool Children (DROA) is an interesting resource for Orang Asli Preschool Children specifically for the Semai, Semelai and Mah Meri groups. There are many interesting activities which are interactive in nature. The content of DROA is aligned to the National Standard Preschool Curriculum (NSPC).
